"Shabbat is a time to rest, to pray, to play...a time to be with the people we love."
At Temple Emanuel, our Shabbat services occur in many forms, providing our members and guests, from the very young to the not so young, the opportunity to celebrate Shabbat and worship Adonai.
Traditional Kabbalat Shabbat services take place on Friday evenings at 7:30 PM.
On the third Friday of every month at 6:00 PM, our Tefillah Band service redefines the Kabbalat Shabbat service with modern musical interpretations of traditional prayers.
For children birth to age 5, we offer Tot Shabbat services with Peter and Ellen Allard on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM.
The Temple Emanuel Religious School (TERS) leads a weekly Family Service, Saturday mornings at 11:00 AM (when TERS is in session) for school-age children and their families. This service also features our Tefillah Band on the first Saturday of the month.
On certain Saturday mornings, (when a Bar or Bat Mitzvah service is not taking place) we hold a Saturday Morning Minyan that combines Torah Study and Shabbat Morning worship, followed by kiddush.
