A HOLY PARTNERSHIP
Jewish education is a partnership. It is a unique and holy relationship between home and school, between parents, children and teachers. The success of our program goes far beyond the years of study within the walls of the Temple. Our success is measured in the attitudes, beliefs and actions of our children.
In the religious school we will do our part. We are dedicated to making our classes, special programs and retreats the very best that they can be. In order to be successful, and to produce a generation of literate, aware and responsible Jews, parents must do their part, too.
Religious School education and Jewish experience in the home must go hand in hand. Each complements and strengthens the other. Judaism is not something practiced only at the Temple. When customs, rituals and celebrations become part of our family traditions, our children begin to practice and understand the beauty and significance of our Jewish heritage.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Temple Emanuel ReligiousSchool provides an innovative and substantive Reform Jewish education which focuses on the values, traditions and history of Judaism. Our goal is to provide an educational and religious experience that will inspire our students to embrace commitment to God, to identify with the Jewish people and the Hebrew language, and to live their lives in accordance with the ethical values of Judaism.
The way to find out if Temple Emanuel Religious School classes have been cancelled is to listen for a cancellation announcement on one of the following radio stations:
WTAG (580 AM) WSRS (96 FM)
Wednesdays:
1. Whenever Worcester Public Schools are cancelled or dismissed early, Temple Emanuel Religious School classes will be cancelled.
2. In the event of a snowfall after the start of the school day, a cancellation decision will be made by the Temple staff by 1:00 PM, with a cancellation accouncement aired by 1:15 PM. Public and private schools will be notified.
