Under the capable direction of Phyllis Spool, the following Early Childhood Education Programs are available on a part-time or full-time basis:

Early Childhood Center:

For children 18 months through 5 years, the Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Center environment is warm, nurturing and stimulating. Comprised of highly trained, mature teachers, the TEECC staff focus on the individual child as well as the group, fostering development, acquisition of social skills and a love of learning. TEECC maintains a teacher-student ratio of 1:6, and arranges its four classrooms by age and development. In addition to offering classroom time from 9 AM to 11:45 AM, Monday through Friday, TEECC opens for Early Drop-off (8 to 9 AM) and provides activities for children who stay for extended day programs, Lunch Bunch (11:45 AM to 1:45 PM), Stay 'n' Play (1:45 to 3:45 PM) and Extended Day (3:45-5:00 PM).

Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Center maintains a teacher-student ratio of 1:6. Our classrooms are arranged by age and development.

Temple Tots:

For one and two-year-olds with their caregivers, Temple Tots incorporates large motor play, parent discussion time, arts and crafts, snack and circle time with a trained early childhood educator. Temple Tots takes place on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Stacy A. Cohan Center, adjacent to the Early Childhood Center.

Teddy Bears Toddler Room:

This class is for children who are 18 months old by September of the year of enrollment. The Teddy Bears Toddler class learns through sensory experiences that enhance their cognitive, language, motor and social skills. We develop a sense of community among the children and the teachers and maintain a 1:4 ratio.

Each staff member gets to know the children they teach as well as their parents and siblings. The bonds that are created in the classrooms, hallways, playgrounds and at social events create the atmosphere of family at Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Center.
